In-Home Sales Consultant (Mobile Showroom, Assigned Appointments)
Location: St. Louis, MO
Territory: Maryland Heights, Manchester, Fenton, Maplewood, and nearby West St. Louis communities
Pay: $35,000 to $40,000 base salary, plus commission (typical $30,000 to $90,000). Uncapped

Appointments are assigned from Home Depot inquiries, typically 2 to 5 per day. No cold calling or door-to-door canvassing

What You Will Do
- Drive the company van to in-home appointments across your territory
- Consult with homeowners, measure square footage on site, and present flooring options from the mobile showroom
- Build estimates and clear proposals, with home office support available for admin needs
- Close sales and complete follow-up the same day whenever possible
- Help customers understand financing options when it fits their needs
- Keep accurate notes and next steps in the CRM
Important: After the sale, you are not responsible for install coordination or ongoing customer communication.
You sell, document clearly, and the operations team takes it from there.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in in-home or consultative sales. Flooring or home improvement experience is a plus
- Confident closing skills, strong communication, and reliable follow-through
- Comfort discussing payment and financing options with homeowners
- Valid driver’s license and a dependable driving record
- Comfort working from a mobile showroom and handling samples throughout the day
Schedule and Training
- Local travel only, no overnights
- Appointments are booked weekly, plan for 2 to 5 per day with time for driving and follow-up
- Late days on Tuesdays and Thursdays due to scheduled evening appointments
- Training includes 3 to 4 days on-site in Cincinnati
Comp and Benefits
- $35,000 to $40,000 base salary paid weekly (Fridays)
- Commission paid every other Friday, calculated as a percent of total sales
- Uncapped commission structure, typical commission range $30,000 to $90,000

Note: No draw or ramp. During training you earn base pay while you learn the process.
Physical Requirements
- Carry product samples in and out of customer homes multiple times per day
- Comfort navigating stairs, tight spaces, and typical in-home measuring conditions
