About the Role

Our client, a locally owned and highly respected engineering company in Austin, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (PE / PM) with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team.

This position offers the chance to work on diverse projects across commercial office spaces, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and multifamily housing. Responsibilities

  • Design and calculate HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for a variety of building types.
  • Generate AutoCAD and Revit files and construction documents for MEP engineering needs.
  • Manage small and large projects, establish schedules, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain and organize mechanical engineering-related documents, schedules, and general project documentation.
  • Review mechanical design submittals and conduct field visits to resolve issues, conflicts, or questions.
  • Generate and present project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build relationships to develop new business with existing and potential clients.


Qualifications


Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • At least 6 years of relevant HVAC and/or plumbing design and project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit (preferred) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience designing mechanical systems for commercial offices, multifamily housing, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, and healthcare facilities.
  • U.S. citizenship, Green Card, or TN visa status.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with HVAC modeling tools such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster.
  • Advanced Revit skills (AutoCAD is less desirable).
  • Project management experience.
