Salary: $70K - $80K plus 10% bonus

Our client, a leader in the development and global manufacturing of ceramic to metal seals is seeking a direct hire PROCESS ENGINEER for their site in the New Bedford, Mass area.
We are seeking candidates interested in joining a global, dynamic, very highly technical team that supports the medical and aerospace industries.
In this role, you will be;
- Responsible to develop, implement, and manage the manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment designed to ensure continuous production
- Be a part of an industry leader in development and manufacturer of ceramic and metal products seals for both Aerospace and Medical implantable markets

Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment platform, perform research, design and develop manufacturing processes and improvements to manufacturing processes, methods, and controls.
- Design, develop and test processes, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
- Develop manufacturing Drawings, Bills of Materials, Routers, Work Instructions, and Control Plans using manufacturing engineering best practices.
- Support new product development & testing, participate in engineering design reviews.
- Write Capital Expenditure requests.
- Process validation, product audits, projects related to standard work & reduction in process variation.
- Support conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operations.
- Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products, processes, and equipment.
- Prepare quotations for labor, tooling, and equipment to support the business unit requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies & procedures to implement preventive maintenance plan for assembly line machines and test equipment.
- Product/process analysis and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, scrap reduction, yield improvements and increased equipment efficiency
- Conduct PFMEAs on manufacturing processes, methods, equipment, and controls.
- Will communicate with all cross functional teams; engineering, quality and supply chain for material disposition, root-cause analysis, and to prepare and follow-up on corrective action reports.
- Evaluates and troubleshoots manufacturing, quality and assembly line issues using failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) and other problem solving methods
- Perform process capacity and capability analysis.
- Assist in training all shop floor associates on manufacturing processes and methods.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Material Science or Engineering.
- 3+ years related experience
- Basic understanding of quality management systems in an ISO 9001/AS 9100 is required.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Experience with developing/documenting procedures
