Position Title: Assistant General Manager + Assistant Manager Roles

Location: Lincoln City, Oregon, United States

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 USD annually


Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager plays a key support leadership role in driving the vision and ensuring that core values are upheld across all operations. Reporting to the General Manager (or Director of Restaurant Operations), this position supports the day-to-day operations of a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant environment while preparing for potential advancement.


Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant General Manager will be accountable for the following (but not limited to):

  • Inspire and motivate the team to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Foster creativity and adaptability to embrace new initiatives and changing conditions.
  • Instill a passion for excellence and high standards within the team.
  • Assist in developing and implementing written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in quality and service.
  • Cultivate a service culture that creates memorable experiences for guests.
  • Work independently while maintaining open communication and seeking support when needed.
  • Lead by example, setting a standard that others aspire to follow.
  • Support recruitment, training, and retention of top talent.
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses and community partners.
  • Demonstrate a deep commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Exhibit strong business and financial acumen, including assistance with reports, budgets, and cost control.
  • Champion team development and foster a positive work environment.
  • Address challenges and have candid conversations with team members when necessary.
  • Support the leadership, management, and accountability of all members of the management team, including the Executive Chef.
  • Actively participate in community projects and represent the company as a positive advocate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of management experience in the food and beverage service industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including personnel management, food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, and health codes.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage operating costs within budgetary constraints.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods (at least 9 hours).
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and squatting to handle stock and equipment.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfort working in an environment with loud noises, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke.
