Warehouse Ops Manager

Run the warehouse operations that keep production lines supplied, shipments accurate, and customers confident in every delivery. This role directly protects quality, on-time performance, and the trust we have earned across a global manufacturing network.

Performance Objectives

  • Raise inventory accuracy to 99.5%+ within 90 days through cycle counts, RFID/barcode controls, and root-cause fixes on variances.
  • Cut dock-to-stock and pick-to-ship cycle times 20% in six months while holding error rates below 0.3%.
  • Deliver 98%+ on-time outbound shipments and zero critical line-down events caused by warehouse misses.
  • Implement safety and 5S standards that reduce recordable incidents 25% year-over-year and pass all internal/customer audits.
  • Lead a high-performing team of 15–25 associates: hire, train, and coach so overtime stays under 8% and turnover drops below 15% annually.
  • Partner with production and quality to stage kits and materials that support SMT, assembly, and RFID lines without disruption.

Environment & Resources

You report to the Site Operations Leader and work alongside production, quality, planning, and logistics. You will have WMS, RFID/barcode systems, material-handling equipment, and a dedicated warehouse team. Budget covers labor, supplies, and continuous-improvement projects. Global manufacturing playbook and quality systems are available from day one.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading warehouse or materials operations in electronics, EMS, or high-mix manufacturing.
  • Proven record improving inventory accuracy, throughput, and on-time shipping with measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS, RFID/barcode, cycle counting, and kit staging for production.
  • Track record building safe, engaged teams and passing ISO/customer audits.
  • Ability to diagnose bottlenecks, run kaizen events, and sustain process discipline on the floor.

Role Selling Points

  • Direct impact on electronic componenets that ship globally from a well-established manufacturing group.
  • Visible ownership of a critical node between production and customers in a quality-driven culture.
  • Access to career paths across sites.
  • Solon location with a focused plant team and real authority to improve how materials move.
