Benefits Manager, Cleveland, OH
A stable and highly regarded organization is looking for a seasoned Benefits Manager to take ownership of all employee benefit and retirement offerings. This role plays a key part in shaping programs that support employees while aligning with business strategy, compliance requirements, and cost objectives. You’ll work cross-functionally and have regular exposure to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of health, welfare, and retirement programs with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Act as the go-to resource for employees, leaders, and external partners on benefits-related questions
- Create and deliver clear, user-friendly benefit communications throughout the year
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and outside advisors to evaluate plan performance and identify opportunities for enhancement
- Lead and develop a small team responsible for benefits administration
- Coordinate annual enrollment activities, vendor relationships, and required filings and reports
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA-related requirements
- Analyze benefits data and prepare insights to support budgeting and long-term planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing employee benefit programs
- Experience within a professional services environment is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Comfortable working with HR systems; experience with UKG or PlanSource is helpful
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trusted with sensitive information
