Senior Accountant
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This position is responsible for managing key accounting functions, supporting tax planning and compliance, and serving as a trusted resource to clients, internal teams, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
· Reconcile bank, investment, and other financial accounts monthly.
· Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and deliverables; review financial reports prepared by other team members.
· Analyze financial data and summarize financial position for internal and client reporting.
· Prepare monthly account reconciliations and maintain ongoing loan tracking
schedules.
· Coordinate with external tax firms by providing required documentation and support for tax return preparation.
· Track and maintain client-specific financial information, including but not limited to:
o Health insurance billing
o Social Security and Medicare Notices
o Horse ownership records
o Charitable contributions
o Real property maintenance and expense records
· Maintain capital asset schedules and depreciation records.
· Conduct semi-annual reviews of real estate tax bills; collaborate with clients and external advisors to assess valuation appeals and related risks.
· Prepare annual budgets for clients and their properties, including calculation of monthly rental payments and subsequent true-up adjustments.
· Perform annual true-up calculations in accordance with partnership agreements and trust documents.
· Assist with tax planning initiatives and related analyses.
· Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.
· Identify errors, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
· Drive continuous improvement through the effective use of new and existing technologies.

Position Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
· CPA preferred; candidates who have passed sections with a plan to complete certification within 18 months will be considered.
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; family office experience is strongly
preferred.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate financial reports.
· Experience with individual and pass-through entity taxation preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to clients, colleagues, and professional advisors.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote).
· Experience with SEI Archway Platform preferred.
