Electrical Design Engineer

A growing engineering-focused company in the Cleveland area is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of advanced electrical systems, circuit design, and equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, designing electrical systems, and working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems, controls, and related components

• Create and update electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation

• Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and system validation activities

• Assist with integration of hardware, controls, sensors, and automated equipment

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to support product and process improvements

• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

• Help ensure projects are completed on time and meet technical requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Experience with electrical system design, controls, automation, or industrial equipment

• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and industrial communication protocols is a plus

• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design software preferred

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
