Industrial Maintenance Technician – Electrical Focus

We're recruiting for an established medical device manufacturer in Staunton, VA seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong industrial electrical background.

This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing equipment, facility systems and electrical infrastructure. You'll troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, perform preventive maintenance, and help keep a highly regulated manufacturing operation running reliably.

• Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
• $29–$38/hour, depending on experience
• 7% second-shift differential

What You'll Be Doing

You'll spend much of your time troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems, manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure, including:

• Motors, motor controls, starters and relays
• VFDs and control circuits
• Electrical panels and distribution systems
• Industrial wiring, conduit and facility power
• PLC-controlled and automated equipment
• Mechanical and pneumatic systems
• HVAC and facility support equipment
• Preventive and predictive maintenance

You'll use electrical schematics, meters and diagnostic equipment to identify problems, determine root cause and make practical repairs.

You'll also support equipment installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you bring:

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance, industrial electrical maintenance or facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience with motors, motor controls, VFDs and industrial electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Mechanical troubleshooting capability
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Experience with PLCs, automation, robotics, sensors or industrial controls is a plus.

A Journeyman, licensed/certified electrician, industrial maintenance apprenticeship, mechatronics degree or similar technical training is also valuable, but we're more interested in what you can actually troubleshoot and repair.
