I’m supporting a growing medical device manufacturer that develops single-use systems used in the production of biologics, cell therapies, gene therapies, and vaccines.

What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and suppliers to identify and execute projects that improve product cost, manufacturability, and supply chain resilience.
Projects may include:
· Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE)
· Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
· Design for Assembly (DFA)
· Design to Cost (DTC)
· Make vs. Buy evaluations
· Second-source qualification
· Supplier improvement initiatives
· Product redesign and cost reduction
· Manufacturing process improvements
· Capital equipment implementation
· Engineering change management
· Verification and validation activities
You’ll own projects from concept through implementation, measuring real business impact while ensuring changes meet quality and regulatory requirements.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
· 6+ years of engineering experience in medical device, plastics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
· Experience leading cost reduction or VAVE initiatives with measurable business results
· Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
· Experience with design verification, process validation, and engineering change control
· Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk management
· Experience interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and Bills of Materials
· Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills
Experience with injection molding, plastic components, supplier development, or capital equipment is highly valued.
