Role Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Manager for our Open-Source Software Development Team. As a crucial member of our leadership, you will drive the team's efforts to create and maintain cutting-edge open-source solutions, particularly in the realm of push notifications, messaging, and related tools. Your leadership will be vital in aligning our team with our company's mission, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of user-centric communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of open-source software developers, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of open-source projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and timelines. Manage resources, budgets, and project priorities.
• Open-Source Contributions: Collaborate with your team to actively participate in the open-source community, contributing to and maintaining projects in the areas of push notifications, messaging, and related tools. Lead by example in open-source development.
• Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and execute a strategic vision for the team, aligning it with the company's long-term goals. Define the team's roadmap and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including product management and engineering, to ensure that the open-source projects align with business needs and drive value for our users and community.
• Talent Development: Identify training and skill development needs within the team and provide guidance for career growth and development plans. Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including substantial experience in open-source development.
• Experience with B2D/B2D Software/Platforms/OSS
• Proven leadership and managerial experience in software development teams, including remote teams.
• Strong expertise in open-source technologies, particularly in the domains of push notifications, messaging, and related tools.
• Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex open-source projects.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with relevant technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and foster a culture of open-source contributions.
• Experience building notifications/messaging infrastructure tools/systems.
• A passion for open-source development and a deep understanding of open-source principles and practices.
