We are currently seeking an experienced Member Service Representative / Personal Banker for a credit union located in Burbank, CA!

 

Type: Temp-to-hire

 

Pay: $20-25/hr

 

Schedule: Part-time (20-29 hours); hours will vary and be based on business needs during operating business hours: M, T, TH: 9am-4pm, W: 10am-4pm, F: 9am-5pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Open and maintain various types of member accounts including savings, checking, certificates, money markets, IRAs, and loans. Accurately process membership applications by collecting and verifying all required documentation to ensure prompt and efficient account setup and funding.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to members with digital services such as online banking, mobile banking applications, and navigating the credit union’s website. Offer clear guidance and troubleshooting support to enhance the member's digital experience.
  • Actively listen to members to understand their financial goals and recommend appropriate products and services that align with their needs. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the credit union’s offerings to effectively explain features, benefits, and potential value to members.
  • Support the credit union’s marketing, outreach, and business development initiatives by promoting current campaigns, participating in community events, and encouraging member engagement in new promotions and financial education opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy in all member interactions, ensuring compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of recent experience as a teller or banker or member services representative within a credit union or bank.
  • Experience processing teller and banking transactions.
  • Opening new accounts such as checking and savings accounts.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Deliver exceptional member service with professional and friendly communication at every touchpoint.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, effective time management, keen attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and proficiency with technology (Outlook, Word, Excel).
