We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist for a credit union located in Altadena, CA!
Type: Full-time temporary (3 months)
Pay: $26-33/hr
Branch hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Processes personnel changes in the payroll system, prepares accompanying reports and performs other HR/Payroll related duties.
- Monitor employee payroll data files online, including medical leave, personal leave, vacation, benefits, promotions, and terminations.
- Support the Human Resources department in the communication of personnel policies, procedures, and benefit plans to ensure compliance and understanding.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all records, communications and correspondence.
- Prepares and processes documents for new hires, transfers and terminations.
- Maintains personnel files on all employees and the forms needed for administering the Human Resources functions.
- Maintains the Human Resources Information System by entering and updating data and generating various reports.
- Provides administrative support for the credit union’s benefits programs to include submitting enrollments, changes and deletions to the various carriers, reconciling monthly billings and resolving employee benefits questions and issues. Provides COBRA information to eligible employees.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of Human Resources experience!
- ADP HRIS systems experience.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Personal computer literacy with various Microsoft Office applications, ADP and HRIS systems, and be able to utilize the Internet for research and job postings.
- Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and other laws pertaining to Human Resources/Payroll practices.
