This opportunity sits within a specialized Investments accounting team responsible for supporting the financial integrity of a diverse investment portfolio. The team works closely with Finance, investment professionals, and business leaders to strengthen accounting processes, maintain effective controls, and support investment strategies that deliver lasting value to customers.

  • Meaningful involvement in accounting policy implementation, process redesign, and internal control enhancements.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Support accurate U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting for an alternative assets investment portfolio.
  • Review investment accounting system outputs and confirm that transactions receive the appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Perform account reconciliations, transaction reviews, loan pricing analysis, real estate-owned accounting, journal entries, and financial reporting activities.
  • Research accounting guidance and evaluate existing processes to identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities for greater efficiency.
  • Help develop and maintain a reliable internal control framework, including SOX documentation and deficiency-risk assessments.
  • Partner with Finance teams across multiple product lines to support the execution of investment strategies.
  • Collaborate across accounting, finance, operations, and investment functions to improve workflows and business outcomes.
  • Support accounting policy implementation and strategic business process redesign initiatives.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Investment Accounting and Financial Reporting?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related discipline.
  • Two to five years of U.S. GAAP and/or U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting experience.
  • Experience performing account reconciliations, journal entries, transaction reviews, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to research and interpret accounting guidance and apply it to business processes and investment transactions.
  • Experience supporting internal controls, SOX documentation, or operational risk assessments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Alternative investments, investment accounting, loan accounting, or real estate-owned accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
