This is a hybrid role based in Durham, NC, with three days onsite and two days remote. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with QA leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders while contributing to high-impact backend validation efforts. The role provides exposure to complex systems, data validation processes, and cross-functional collaboration in a structured QA environment.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Perform backend testing focused on data feeds, extract logic, and system outputs
• Execute and maintain existing test scripts, with the ability to modify or extend them as needed
• Conduct manual validation of data to ensure accuracy and alignment with business rules
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams for resolution
• Analyze system behavior and data flow across backend processes
• Collaborate with QA, product, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases
• Support regression and integration testing across backend systems

Are you an experienced QA professional with strong backend testing expertise?

• 5–8 years of experience in QA/testing roles
• Strong experience in backend systems testing and data validation
• Ability to understand and explain how systems and data flows operate
• Experience executing and modifying test scripts (not required to build from scratch)
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Selenium, or similar
• Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to ask insightful, relevant questions
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Insurance or financial services experience is a plus
