What’s In Store For You

• Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
• Full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract opportunity supporting an active early-stage research pipeline.
• Hands-on exposure to complex in vivo pharmacology studies and development of customized rodent disease models.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary scientific teams in an AAALAC-accredited research environment.
• Onsite laboratory position in Piscataway, New Jersey.
• Weekend work will be required based on study schedules.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Plan and execute sophisticated preclinical in vivo pharmacology studies involving rodent models.
• Administer therapeutic agents using multiple dosing routes, including IP, IV, oral, retro-orbital, intrathecal, intratracheal, subcutaneous, and intracerebroventricular administration.
• Perform blood and biological-fluid collections using techniques such as tail vein, saphenous vein, submandibular collection, and cardiac puncture.
• Conduct necropsies, tissue harvesting, and perfusion procedures while maintaining sample integrity and accurate documentation.
• Monitor animal health, capture clinical observations, and maintain complete study records.
• Contribute to the development, optimization, and validation of disease-relevant rodent models.
• Partner with vivarium personnel, project scientists, and analytical teams to coordinate studies and deliver dependable experimental data.
• Prepare and maintain study protocols and electronic laboratory documentation and communicate results to project teams.
• Conduct all animal research in accordance with approved protocols, IACUC requirements, and applicable safety and ethical standards.

Do You Bring Proven Success in In Vivo Pharmacology and Rodent Research?

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, animal science, pharmacology, or a related discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong recent, hands-on experience performing in vivo research with rodents.
• Demonstrated proficiency with rodent handling, restraint, and dosing procedures.
• Experience administering compounds through multiple dosing routes; candidates should be comfortable with technically demanding in vivo procedures.
• Comprehensive hands-on experience with fluid and blood collection, particularly tail vein and saphenous vein collection.
• Demonstrated excellence in animal necropsy and tissue collection.
• Ability to accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and study data.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently execute scheduled procedures while collaborating effectively across scientific teams.
