The Investment Controllership team serves as a centralized function responsible for U.S. GAAP and Statutory accounting and reporting across a diverse and complex investment portfolio.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Support accounting and reporting for alternative investment portfolios, including commercial mortgage loans, limited partnerships, private equity, and middle market loans
  • Contribute to Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) processes and related reporting activities
  • Interpret and apply U.S. GAAP accounting guidance across complex investment transactions
  • Perform technical accounting research and support implementation of new accounting standards
  • Execute and review month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support U.S. GAAP and Statutory financial reporting and disclosures
  • Execute and document SOX controls and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks
  • Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Are You a Proven Technical Accounting Professional Ready to Lead in Complex Investment Accounting?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with strong exposure to technical/complex accounting
  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm) strongly preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred (active highly prioritized; candidates in progress may be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying accounting standards (ASC guidance)
  • Experience with financial reporting, close processes, and internal controls (SOX)
  • Ability to research, analyze, and apply new accounting requirements
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or investment accounting
  • Exposure to alternative assets and/or credit-related instruments
  • Familiarity with CECL concepts and processes
  • Experience with Oracle Financials, TM1, or similar systems
  • Exposure to Alteryx or workflow automation tools
