In this hybrid role based in Davidson, you’ll lead a high-performing team while partnering across HR, Finance, Operations, and Technology. The position involves driving modernization within payroll operations, improving systems, and enhancing process efficiency. You’ll influence strategy, lead major change initiatives, and ensure compliance across a diverse workforce in the U.S. and Canada.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead North America payroll and timekeeping operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.
- Oversee payroll strategy, process execution, technology alignment, and operational performance.
- Manage both in-house U.S. payroll and vendor-supported Canadian payroll functions.
- Guide teams through organizational change, mergers, acquisitions, and system transformations.
- Partner with HR technology leaders to identify improvement opportunities and leverage new system capabilities.
- Build strong vendor relationships, managing contracts, SLAs, and performance.
- Ensure audit readiness, SOX compliance, and effective internal controls.
- Implement standardized processes where possible while allowing for localized needs.
- Develop operational metrics and dashboards to monitor performance, risks, and trends.
Are You a Proven Leader in Payroll Operations Ready to Drive Transformation?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Significant experience managing large-scale payroll operations, ideally within a global or complex environment.
- Experience leading teams through major system upgrades, conversions, or transformation initiatives.
- Skilled in payroll technologies such as PeopleSoft, UKG Dimensions, and preferably Workday.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across functions and leadership levels.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities and high-pressure situations.
- Known for strategic problem-solving, analytical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset.
