This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting enterprise data protection initiatives in a banking technology environment. The role offers exposure to data loss prevention operations, security incident validation, program metrics, and collaboration with senior DLP stakeholders.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Monitor alerts generated by data loss prevention technologies and perform initial triage in alignment with internal processes.
- Escalate potential data security incidents appropriately and support validation efforts with senior DLP leaders.
- Draft playbooks, job aids, and operational guidance to improve consistency across DLP responsibilities.
- Provide feedback to technology teams responsible for DLP policy tuning and rule effectiveness.
- Prepare DLP program metrics and routine reporting for leadership review.
- Support ad hoc data requests tied to DLP operations, security trends, and program performance.
Are you an experienced Data Loss Prevention Analyst ready to make an impact?
- Bring experience supporting data loss prevention, data security, security operations, or related monitoring/triage functions.
- Knowledge of Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, and Island.io is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including pivot tables and the ability to work with multiple data sources.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review alerts, identify trends, and build a holistic picture from different data points.
- Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset when investigating security-related activity.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated enterprise environment is a plus.
