How You Will Make An Impact
- Manage and support municipal water and wastewater engineering projects from planning through design and construction phases.
- Develop and review project scopes while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Provide technical expertise related to water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, treatment facilities, and utility infrastructure.
- Apply engineering principles to develop solutions for moderately complex infrastructure challenges.
- Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools to support design documentation, planning, and project deliverables.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering memoranda, plans, presentations, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain project schedules, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers, designers, technicians, and support staff while promoting strong technical practices.
Do you bring proven success in municipal water and wastewater project management?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or South Carolina required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting municipal water and/or wastewater engineering projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater system design, including:
- Water mains and booster pump stations.
- Gravity sewer systems, lift stations, and force mains.
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Hydraulic modeling and utility master planning.
- Experience supporting infrastructure projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, technical judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
