How You Will Make An Impact
- Build and maintain Python automation supporting Fixed Income and swaps applications.
- Work within existing automation frameworks and expand automated test coverage.
- Validate swaps through confirmation, clearing, payments, settlement, and regulatory workflows.
- Test deal-ticket attributes and ensure transaction information moves accurately through downstream systems.
- Perform defect investigation, triage, and root-cause analysis in collaboration with developers and business analysts.
- Validate changes across complex back-office trade-processing workflows.
- Gather requirements through discussions with technical and business stakeholders when formal documentation is limited.
- Help strengthen quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Do you bring proven success in Python quality engineering and swaps processing?
- 5–7+ years of quality engineering, SDET, automation, application development, or related technology experience.
- Strong practical Python programming capability.
- Hands-on Fixed Income and swaps/derivatives experience.
- Experience testing or supporting back-office trade-processing applications.
- Ability to explain a swap transaction from origination through confirmation, clearing, payment, and settlement.
- Knowledge of actual swap deal-ticket attributes, including notional, fixed and floating legs, reference indexes, spreads, dates, payment schedules, and currency.
- Experience with automation frameworks and automated test development.
- Understanding of defect management and defect triage.
- Knowledge of QA/QE practices and how quality integrates into application-development delivery.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to proactively gather information from developers and business analysts.
- Ability to work independently without relying on highly detailed instructions.
- Experience with Murex, Sophis, Summit, Charles River, Aladdin, or comparable proprietary derivatives platforms is valuable.
