Be Part Of A High-Performing Team:

Join a global financial institution’s capital markets technology organization during a period of continued delivery transformation and portfolio growth. This team supports complex initiatives across business, product, technology, risk, and operations while strengthening project governance, delivery visibility, and executive decision-making.

The environment combines Agile technology delivery with the disciplined financial, resource, and milestone management expected within a highly regulated banking organization. Project Managers serve as the connective layer between business portfolio leaders, technology teams, product owners, Scrum Masters, and senior executives.

What’s In Store For You:

  • Engagement: W2 only, with no C2C or 1099 arrangements.
  • Hybrid schedule based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with onsite work required on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Exposure to visible capital markets technology programs and senior business stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to influence project governance, executive reporting, and delivery maturity.
  • Collaboration with experienced product, technology, and Agile delivery professionals.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Lead the business, financial, governance, and executive-reporting components of capital markets technology initiatives.
  • Partner with business portfolio managers to clarify business needs, required delivery dates, expected outcomes, and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of lean business cases and guide initiatives through review and approval processes.
  • Create and maintain cost plans, resource plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and project forecasts in the organization’s portfolio-management platform.
  • Work with product owners, technology leaders, and delivery teams to establish realistic start dates, completion dates, and high-level milestones.
  • Serve as the primary connection between business stakeholders and the teams responsible for technical delivery.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of initiative health without becoming responsible for individual stories, bugs, tasks, or sprint administration.
  • Translate Agile delivery progress into executive-level reporting that clearly communicates milestones, costs, risks, and outcomes.
  • Prepare concise meeting minutes, status reports, governance decks, business cases, and funding presentations.
  • Present project information to senior business and technology leaders, including global executive stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with Scrum Masters to obtain timely and accurate delivery updates.
  • Ensure resource allocations and project tasks remain accurate so that financial reporting and time-entry activity align with current plans.
  • Use reporting and visualization tools to support portfolio oversight and executive decision-making.
  • Proactively identify approaching deadlines, reporting gaps, and delivery risks before they become escalations.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Capital Markets Technology Project Management?

  • At least 7 years of IT project or program management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Meaningful capital markets, investment banking, institutional banking, securities, payments, or trading-technology experience.
  • Sufficient business-domain knowledge to understand stakeholder requests, ask informed questions, and translate needs into project scope and business cases.
  • Experience managing project costs, resource allocations, milestones, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM, Clarity, Planview, or a comparable project portfolio management platform.
  • Experience supporting technology initiatives delivered through Agile teams while reporting progress through traditional project phases and executive milestones.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills across business, product, technology, risk, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Exceptional written communication, including concise minutes, project updates, executive summaries, and presentation materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strict weekly and biweekly reporting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accuracy across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience with Jira and executive-reporting tools such as Power BI is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fixed income, currencies, derivatives, securities, trade processing, SWIFT, or payment systems is highly desirable.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, SAFe, or related project-management certification is preferred.
