How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Design, code, test, and document enhancements for mainframe applications supporting policy administration.
  • Partner with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA in an Agile team to deliver prioritized backlog items.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and performance.
  • Analyze production incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support system deployments, perform validations, and maintain system stability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate across IT and business teams to align technical solutions with strategic goals.

Are You an Experienced Mainframe Developer Ready to Make an Impact?

  • 4+ years of experience developing on IBM mainframe platforms (COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to understand complex business logic.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and delivering projects in sprint-based environments.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with policy administration systems, particularly CLOAS.
  • Assembler programming experience.
  • IMS database experience in an MVS and CICS environment.
  • Insurance or financial services background, especially in long-term care products.
  • Experience with modern mainframe development and testing tools.
