Work arrangement: Onsite in Brea, California
- Opportunity to gain broad exposure to central banking operations, including ACH, deposit operations, treasury activity, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, retirement accounts, and cash-management support.
- Work across a diverse range of operational processes rather than being limited to one transaction type or back-office function.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Process and research ACH transactions, returns, adjustments, encoding errors, non-posted items, and other operational exceptions.
- Perform account reconciliations, official-check balancing, GL certifications, controlled-account activity, and cash-vault reconciliations.
- Support deposit and account servicing activities including stop payments, account maintenance, dormant-account reactivation, IRA transactions, and Reg CC hold reviews.
- Complete regulatory and operational activities involving backup withholding, year-end tax reporting, state escheatment, levies, subpoenas, and NSF reporting.
- Support online banking, cash-management services, telephone transfers, lockbox deposits, treasury-rate updates, and large-item review.
- Research and resolve customer and operational issues while maintaining documentation, confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with banking policies.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Banking Operations and Transaction Processing?
- Bring approximately 3–5 years of relevant banking, deposit operations, branch support, or financial-services operations experience.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of banking operations processes such as ACH, reconciliations, account maintenance, check processing, transaction research, or deposit operations.
- Understand the importance of operational controls, regulatory requirements, documentation, and accuracy within a financial-services environment.
- Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve operational issues.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, customers, and outside organizations.
- Be comfortable handling sensitive financial information and maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrate strong organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing deadlines.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative operations team.
