This full-time opportunity offers an experienced architect the chance to take meaningful ownership of projects while contributing to a growing Tampa practice. The role provides exposure to multidisciplinary work, client leadership, staff mentorship, and projects that directly shape the communities they serve. The selected architect will have the opportunity to influence design quality, technical execution, and project delivery while working alongside professionals across a broad regional network.

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Lead architectural projects through programming, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
• Serve as the primary architectural contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project stakeholders.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines to maintain design intent, technical accuracy, schedules, and project objectives.
• Direct the preparation of coordinated construction documents using Revit.
• Review drawings, specifications, project manuals, and other deliverables for quality, code compliance, and constructability.
• Manage project priorities, staffing needs, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple assignments and office locations.
• Guide and mentor junior architectural team members while providing technical direction and design feedback.
• Conduct site assessments, field measurements, construction observations, and project coordination visits.
• Manage construction-phase activities, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, and contractor coordination.
• Support permitting, consultant management, and communication with applicable authorities having jurisdiction.

Do You Bring Proven Success Leading Architectural Projects From Design Through Construction?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• At least 8 years of professional architectural experience, including demonstrated responsibility for project management and delivery.
• Active architectural registration in Florida is strongly preferred; candidates who are eligible to obtain Florida registration may also be considered.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit and experience directing the development of coordinated construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and architectural standards.
• Experience managing projects from early programming and design through permitting and construction administration.
• Ability to coordinate consultants and integrate architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and other technical disciplines.
• Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, specifications, and field conditions during construction.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and documentation tools is beneficial.
• Strong client-facing communication, presentation, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, schedules, and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Must be located in the Tampa area or willing to relocate.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
