How You Will Make an Impact
- Manage relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and other logistics partners.
- Lead carrier contract negotiations, ensuring competitive rates and service-level commitments.
- Monitor and enforce KPIs for carrier and drayage performance.
- Provide operational guidance to ensure containers move efficiently across lanes.
- Partner with sales and pricing teams to supply market intelligence and strategic input.
- Support and develop a team, including offshore resources.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Ocean Freight and Carrier Management?
- 5–7+ years of ocean freight operations experience, including direct carrier management.
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and carrier relationship ownership.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams (domestic or offshore).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (required).
- Knowledge of drayage procurement and management (preferred).
- Familiarity with Jones Act trade lanes and BCO relationships (preferred).
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in TMS and freight management tools.
