How You Will Make an Impact

• Manage relationships with ocean carriers, drayage providers, and other logistics partners.
• Lead carrier contract negotiations, ensuring competitive rates and service-level commitments.
• Monitor and enforce KPIs for carrier and drayage performance.
• Provide operational guidance to ensure containers move efficiently across lanes.
• Partner with sales and pricing teams to supply market intelligence and strategic input.
• Support and develop a team, including offshore resources.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Ocean Freight and Carrier Management?

• 5–7+ years of ocean freight operations experience, including direct carrier management.
• Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and carrier relationship ownership.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams (domestic or offshore).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics (required).
• Knowledge of drayage procurement and management (preferred).
• Familiarity with Jones Act trade lanes and BCO relationships (preferred).
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in TMS and freight management tools.
