How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead process design for water and wastewater treatment facilities, covering planning, feasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering.
  • Perform modeling, hydraulic evaluations, mass balance calculations, and develop technical documentation including design criteria, flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Guide equipment selection and layout design across treatment technologies such as activated sludge, membrane bioreactors, filtration, and disinfection systems.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff, supporting their career growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through presentations, proposals, and technical consultations.
  • Participate in site visits, construction support, and commissioning to ensure project success.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead in Water/Wastewater Engineering?

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in water or wastewater process engineering within consulting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process modeling software (BioWin, GPS-X, WaterCAD, or SewerCAD), hydraulic analysis, and development of PFDs/P&IDs. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, proven client interaction, leadership in team settings, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Preferred: BCEE certification, expertise in advanced treatment technologies, experience in business development, and active involvement in industry associations (e.g., AWWA, WEF).
