Be Part Of A Dynamic Team:

This organization is modernizing and standardizing cloud delivery in a large, consumer-facing enterprise environment. The technology group is responsible for building secure, scalable AWS platforms and getting business-critical applications deployed reliably. The team values practical architecture, clear documentation, and strong cross-functional collaboration—especially with Security and Engineering stakeholders.

What’s In Store For You:

This contract opportunity offers a highly hands-on architecture role focused on designing AWS systems and driving real deployments.

How You Will Make An Impact:

  • Translate business requirements into AWS solution designs, including clear architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Lead architecture decisions for security, networking, scalability, and availability.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security teams to review, defend, and refine designs for approval.
  • Take applications that are already built and drive deployment planning and execution (often through containerization).
  • Containerize applications using Docker and determine the best deployment approach (ECS preferred; EKS acceptable).
  • Establish infrastructure automation best practices and improve repeatable delivery patterns.
  • Support CI/CD and operational readiness, including monitoring and troubleshooting as needed.

Are you an experienced AWS Cloud Architect ready to make an impact?

  • 7+ years of AWS experience with clear architecture/design ownership.
  • Strong Docker experience and hands-on containerization background.
  • Experience deploying containerized workloads to ECS and/or EKS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals (VPC design, security groups/NACLs, IAM patterns).
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate designs, create diagrams, and collaborate through stakeholder pushback.
  • Comfortable working onsite in Charlotte multiple days per week.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with .NET/C# application environments.
