Job Overview

An Associate is responsible for managing sales relationships with existing client accounts while also prospecting for new clients. They act as a liaison between clients and the Dealing Team, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines in collaboration with Compliance and Risk teams.

The role requires a strong understanding of relevant financial products and the regulatory framework in which they operate. The Associate must effectively market these products to both new and existing clients while prioritising fair and equitable outcomes.

Key Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Business-to-Business (B2B) sales role.
• Experience in a regulated financial services environment is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of operating at an Associate level within a commercial sales setting (both face-to-face and telephone sales).
• Strong grasp of end-to-end sales processes and the ability to articulate them effectively.
• Demonstrated proficiency in persuasive communication, negotiation, and closing techniques.
• Understanding of risk management and compliance within a regulated environment.
• Some familiarity with FX products.

Key Performance Indicators

• Total revenue generated.
• New business revenue.
• Number of accounts opened.
• New business activity (new accounts traded).
• Number of decision-makers pitched.
• Sales activity (calls, leads generated, client interactions, meetings).
• Effective client relationship management, as evidenced by feedback.
• Provision of management information (e.g., breach reports, performance data).
• Contribution to the overall team culture (integrity, respect, collaboration).
• Knowledge and application of client onboarding procedures.
• Ability to support other business areas by providing timely information or documentation.
• Conducting appropriate client analysis and fact-finding to enhance service offerings.

This position is based in London city (Bank) and will pay up to £50k basic + unlimited commission. A clear career path to a full 360 role / FX Trading role is possible for the right person.
