Infrastructure Engineer (Networking) - Meraki Focus

Role Overview
You’ll be part of the core infrastructure team, owning the stability, security and performance of the organisation’s Meraki network estate. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on Meraki routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, VPN, cloud networking and general infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain and troubleshoot Meraki LAN/WAN environments across multiple sites
- Configure and support Meraki routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, QoS)
- Administer Meraki firewalls and security appliances
- Support Meraki VPN, SD‑WAN and remote access solutions
- Oversee Meraki wireless networks, access points and network authentication (RADIUS/NAC)
- Monitor Meraki network performance, capacity and availability using Meraki Dashboard and other enterprise tools
- Implement Meraki network changes, upgrades and patching following change control
- Support cloud networking (Azure/AWS VNETs, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect) with Meraki integration
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security and service desk teams on incidents and projects
- Maintain Meraki documentation, diagrams and asset inventories
- Contribute to network resilience, DR and security hardening initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Meraki enterprise networking
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, VLANs and subnetting
- Hands‑on Meraki firewall experience (rule sets, NAT, IPS/IDS, site‑to‑site VPNs)
- Experience with Meraki WiFi technologies and wireless troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Meraki Dashboard and other network monitoring/observability tools
- Comfortable working in ITIL‑aligned environments with structured change control
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server and endpoint layers
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Meraki certifications (CMNA, CMNO) or equivalent
- Experience with Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, routing, VPN/ExpressRoute)
- Knowledge of SD‑WAN technologies
- Scripting/automation exposure (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Understanding of security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CIS)
The role is hybrid / based in Valencia, Spain. The position will pay between €50-75k depending on experience.
