Senior Linux Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Linux Cloud Engineer to be a key player in the Infrastructure Engineering team to manage the systems administration of AWS Cloud environment used for running highly intensive applications.


Responsibilities:


  • Administer AWS infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage resources.
  • Provision AWS compute instances and manage resource utilization.
  • Engineer storage solutions, content replication, and meet performance requirements.
  • Develop and implement network solutions in AWS and establish connectivity to data centers.
  • Create Linux and Ansible scripts for deploying system configurations on the Cloud.
  • Deploy security patches and upgrades for RedHat Linux Operating Systems.
  • Configure core services like DNS, LDAP, syslog, mail, etc.
  • Deploy RDS/Aurora database instances and coordinate with DBA teams.
  • Deploy managed services in AWS for Kinesis, ElasticSearch, API Gateway, etc.
  • Implement Machine Learning solutions using AWS SageMaker.
  • Orchestrate container deployment using ECS and EKS.
  • Deploy systems monitoring and reporting solutions.
  • Recommend hardware and right-size infrastructure.
  • Coordinate the implementation of firewall rules and routing changes.
  • Investigate latency issues, network packet drops, and system performance issues.
  • Manage and execute disaster recovery plans, coordinate change control processes, and obtain approvals.
  • Respond to critical production issues and provide immediate workarounds to maintain business continuity.

 

Experience Required:


  • Extensive Experience of AWS & Infrastructure
  • Proficient in working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Experienced in system administration on RedHat Linux or Unix.
  • Skilled in setting up virtual machines and provisioning storage.
  • Expertise in building network solutions.
  • Background in working in data centers or deploying large-scale IT infrastructure.
  • Experienced in system monitoring using tools like Nagios, Splunk, and Datadog.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting production issues and meeting critical SLAs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong verbal and written proficiencies.


This position is fully remote, but you must be based in the US and be fully eligible to work without sponsor. The position will pay up to $180k + bonus + benefits
