Anderson Air has been a family-owned and operated business based in Vancouver for the past 43 years. We aim to deliver a customized private jet charter and aircraft management service worldwide. Our team has been on a growth track over the last year, adding 5 aircraft and 1 helicopter to our fleet and experiencing rapid growth in revenue and headcount.

The Role 


As our People and Culture Manager, you will report to the President, and play a key role in managing all aspects of the human resources function. Areas of responsibility as a stand-alone practitioner include implementing people related policies and procedures, supporting employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, people development and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for developing and supporting our most valuable asset – our people. 


Key Responsibilities

  • People Strategy
  • Develop and implement people related strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and organizational culture
  • Promote company values and be a role model for a positive and high-performing organizational culture
  • Develop and monitor overall people strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Develop programs to increase employee engagement and morale


  • Talent Acquisition
  • Oversee and tactically support the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make recommendations for selection


  • Employee Relations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and resolution
  • Bridge management and employee relations through advising and coaching leaders and employees 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through communication and employee engagement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with the team, fostering trust and promoting collaboration


  • Employee Lifecycle
  • Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality, meets business needs, and provides clarity and connection for employees so their roles serve the overall business vision
  • Conduct consistent check-ins with employees to gain insight into their employee experience
  • Support the organization with offboarding tasks


  • Employee Development & Performance Management:
  • Create learning and development strategies and programs that meet the needs of the organization
  • Implement and support managers with performance management processes, including goal setting, regular feedback, and performance reviews
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and help develop improvement plans when necessary


  • Policies and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations as they evolve
  • Consistently update policies and procedures in alignment with company goals and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and policy adherence


  • Administration and Communication:
  • Regularly update our internal Human Resources Information System, BambooHR and maintain accurate records relating to employment
  • Answer employee inquiries and support/implement communication strategies to promote understanding and engagement


Who You Are:

  • Possess a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources Leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives, specifically in organizational design/structure, HR program development and implementation, and continuous improvement of HR processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach that values open and honest communication, integrity, respect, consistency and fairness
  • Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness and confidentiality concerning sensitive issues in a professional manner
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases. Knowledge of BambooHR considered an asset
