Senior Accountant – West Valley | Own Your Impact

The Opportunity: Ready to move beyond spreadsheet grunt work and actually own meaningful pieces of the accounting function? Our client, a well-established West Valley company, is looking for a Senior Accountant who wants real responsibility, not just task lists. This is your chance to be the go-to expert for month-end close, drive process improvements, and work in an environment where your financial expertise directly impacts business decisions. If you thrive on deadlines, love the satisfaction of a clean close, and want to partner across departments (not just sit in a corner crunching numbers), this role is calling your name.

What Makes This Role Different: You won't be buried in endless reconciliations with no context or stuck in accounting silos. You'll own critical components of the month-end close from start to finish—journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analysis that actually matter. You'll maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensure every transaction is coded and classified correctly, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations across cash, AP/AR, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals. Beyond the close, you'll support day-to-day accounting operations, troubleshoot ERP issues, and dive into manufacturing-specific accounting like inventory reconciliations, COGS support, variance reviews, and cycle count assistance. When audit season arrives, you'll be the one preparing clean documentation and schedules that make reviewers' jobs easy. Plus, you'll have the autonomy to spot inefficiencies and recommend process improvements that make everyone's lives better.

Who Thrives Here: You bring 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with proven ownership of month-end close and complex reconciliations. Your GAAP knowledge is rock-solid, your attention to detail is unshakeable, and you've got hands-on experience with GP ERP systems. You're an Excel power user—pivots, lookups, and wrangling large datasets don't intimidate you, they energize you. You communicate clearly with finance and non-finance teams alike because you know accounting doesn't happen in a vacuum. You're reliable, accountable, and genuinely enjoy the pressure of deadlines because you know how to deliver. Bonus points if you hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, have manufacturing or inventory-heavy experience, understand cost accounting concepts like variance analysis, or get excited about streamlining processes that waste everyone's time.

The Details: This is an on-site position in the West Valley with a stable, growing manufacturing organization that values accuracy, efficiency, and people who take pride in their work.
