About the Role
We're seeking a Production Scheduler/Planner to join our team in Brookfield Center. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. You'll work closely with procurement, engineering, project management, and production teams to meet customer demands, minimize downtime, and make the best use of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed based on demand, equipment availability, or staffing.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and highlight shortages.
- Work with materials management to verify project kits are complete and available at each production stage.
- Communicate schedules and resolve conflicts with production supervisors and team leads.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans with support from operations; track and report performance against plans.
- Report deviations from production plans to leadership, log all downtime, and coordinate resolution strategies.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Inform project management of any project delays or concerns.
- Prepare weekly summaries of completed, delayed, missed, or rescheduled work orders, including reasons for deviations.
- Support ongoing improvement efforts in scheduling, planning, and overall production efficiency.
- Maintain current scheduling reports and assist in developing new metrics and reports as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related manufacturing role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage production schedules
- Understanding of production planning, capacity management, and inventory control principles
- Must pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs or more
- Ability to stoop, bend, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with capacity planning and demand forecasting
