CONTROLS ENGINEER – PLC / AUTOMATION

Our client is a leading ASME manufacturer of steel processing and packaging equipment for the beverage industry. We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support PLC-based automation systems for high-performance industrial equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and program PLC/HMI systems (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell preferred)
• Develop electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Support new equipment builds, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
• Troubleshoot controls issues and optimize machine performance
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams
• Support system integration at customer sites (occasional travel)

REQUIREMENTS

• BSEE or BSEET required
• 3+ years of industrial controls / automation experience
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Experience in packaging, food & beverage, or heavy industrial manufacturing preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

COMPENSATION

• $90,000–$125,000 base salary
