Tool & Die Maintenance – Machinist / Tool & Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Machinist / Tool & Die Maker with in-depth knowledge of dies, blueprints, and equipment used in a die maintenance shop.

In this role, you will operate and set up a variety of mechanically controlled and computer-controlled machine tools used to manufacture precision tools, metal parts, and instruments. Candidates should have knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to produce parts and products and must be able to build or maintain existing tools to acceptable quality standards.

Working as a Machinist or Tool & Die Maker will allow you to continuously develop your technical and problem-solving skills. Every task presents new challenges and opportunities to adapt, learn, and find successful solutions.

Requirements-Tool & Die Maintenance – Machinist / Tool & Die Maker

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of dies, blueprints, and equipment used in a die maintenance shop.
  • Must follow all safety practices and procedures set forth by the company.
  • Complete working knowledge of plant operations specializing in the Tool & Die Maintenance Department.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Ability to utilize computer programs to assist in troubleshooting problems.
  • Must possess and satisfactorily demonstrate in-depth blueprint reading and comprehension skills.
  • Must understand advanced mechanics of dies associated with blank, progressive, tandem, and/or secondary press operations.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of tool steels and their applications.
  • Must have previous Tool & Die experience.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift.

Candidates should also have experience with various other machines normally associated with the day-to-day operation of a die maintenance shop.

Compensation & Benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30-34 per hour
