General Purpose of the Job-IT Engineer
The primary purpose is to plan, manage and provide user support related to Information Systems. Position oversees the operation, maintenance and procedures of the server and peripheral information system. Manages and maintains company investment in areas related to Information Systems. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Position functions include, but are not limited to, those set forth below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-IT Engineer
· Provide end user and plant floor support, ability to prioritize service requests.
· Windows Server Maintenance and Risk Management
· Maintain and support for heavily virtualized production environments using VMWare and Hyper-V
· MS SQL Server database support and administration
· Ability to carry out Oracle DBA activities
· SharePoint, file server administration and file server optimization
· Mobile device support and setup, communications and RFID
· Support for Kronos (Time & Attendance) SAGE HRMS, Great Plains Financials
· Software License tracking and management
· Familiarity with EDI fundamentals and principals
· Computer hardware tracking and maintenance
· Communication Systems (Fiber Channel, Ethernet & 802.11x)
· Line Side Label system support (hardware and software)
· Data collection systems related to facility equipment
· Drive down costs through improvement and innovation
· Project Planning, Tracking and budget adherence.
· Conduct annual review of all controlled documents, including the departmental documents, to ensure the use and accuracy.
· Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each associate at UPAL.
· Must be able to work in a team environment.
REPORTS THIS JOB IS REQUIRED TO PREPARE
· Maintain asset list
· Administer network policy and assist with developing operational policies and procedures.
· Quarterly Report to the global office
LIST ANY EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS (CUSTOMER OR SUPPLIERS)
· Support to/from global IT group
· Technical support and sales by outside vendors
· Warranty and Service Agreements

Education and/or Experience
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended periods of time, lift up to 50lbs unassisted and anything above with the use of a proper lifting device. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear at moderate to loud noise levels. Loud noise is a factor in several areas of the plant. Specifically, the scrap conveyor, and stamping related equipment as well as the PFT granulator area. Destruct and some areas of the weld plant are also subject to loud noises. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment will include working near moving mechanical parts, work at heights, occasional exposure to fumes and risk of electrical shock. Moderate to loud noise exposure occasionally. Ear, eye, head, foot, hand and arm protection is required. Standard PPE is required.
