Inventory and Materials Specialist IV

Position Overview
This position is part of the Financial Services Solutions Team and supports a broad range of functions, with a primary focus on the North American region.
Solutions Team functions may include project management, data analysis, process improvement and optimization, customer service support for Solutions processes, escalated issue resolution, and rework elimination.
This position also provides customer and technical support to ensure the effective operation, utilization, and development of various systems and solutions, including Requisition-to-Pay processes and systems. The Inventory and Materials Specialist IV will help maintain a continuously operating system environment, ensure availability according to agreed-upon service levels, and support continuous improvements in system use and related procedures.
Primary Responsibilities — 90%
- Plan, execute, manage, and track specific projects assigned by the Solutions Manager.
- Execute and manage testing for implementations and projects.
- Become the subject matter expert in the full end-to-end Arconic Requisition-to-Pay Oracle EBS systems process, with a focus on North American regional requirements.
- Become a subject matter expert for customized and optimized Buy Pay processes, including B2B and Pull Pay.
- Support implementations and divestitures as required by the company’s strategic direction.
- Assist with daily problem resolution related to the various systems used by customers.
Secondary Responsibilities — 10%
- Manage and organize training for customers and locations as needed.
- Assist customers with general issues requiring expert-level problem-solving skills.
- Develop expertise in and manage key Service Level Agreement metrics and KPIs within the Requisition-to-Pay area.
- Work with business customers to ensure required metrics are met according to established agreements.
- Substitute for other team members as instructed by the manager.
- Support customers with audits and audit-related activities.
- Maintain current documentation and complete scheduled updates.
- Learn and apply Arconic’s standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor that support the department’s work and comply with applicable laws, company policies, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of business experience in supply chain, procurement, finance, and/or accounting.
- Strong understanding of Oracle R12 On-Premise Requisition-to-Pay EBS modules, including Purchase Orders and Accounts Payable.
- Experience with Oracle R12 EBS Requisition-to-Pay processes and solution-support tasks, including patch testing, system bug resolution, and customization.
- Strong understanding of North American Requisition-to-Pay practices, including:
- Purchase orders
- Accounts payable
- Requisitions
- Payments
- Interfaces
- Suppliers
- AP and PO accounting
- Understanding of full end-to-end processes within the Financial Services Solutions area.
- Ability to communicate best practices and support process standardization across multiple operating units and regions.
- Strong customer focus and experience resolving highly complex problems.
- Clear and concise communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into business terms.
- Ability to independently initiate and manage projects through completion.
