This position can be part-time or full-time with a hybrid or fully remote work schedule. Offices in Worcester, Framingham and Boston.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiary designations, and letters of intent
- Draft client communications regarding estate plans, including explanatory letters and implementation instructions
- Maintain knowledge of Massachusetts trust, probate law and relevant tax laws
Competencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency with client records management software such as NetDocuments
- Proficiency with document production software such as Contract Express
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to operate successfully in an environment that emphasizes individual accountability and teamwork depending on the situation
- Ability to achieve effective results in a fast-paced environment and meet billable hours requirement
Credentials – Education and Experience
- Five or more years of experience as an estate planning attorney
- J.D.
- Active bar membership in good standing with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- LL.M. in taxation and admission to other bars are pluses
