The Senior Project Manager is in charge of providing general management guidance for construction projects (plans, budgets, schedules, organizes, and controls assigned projects). The SR PM keeps in regular communication with clients, keeps an eye on project finances and construction, and completion. For large, complex projects, this post might serve as the on-site manager. The PM should set an example for others to follow and uphold the companies values.


Position Duties and Obligations  

Establish and maintain communication with owners and other contacts to streamline project operations. 

Supervise projects and give personnel and junior project managers direction. 

Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction project-related operations in collaboration with superintendents and foremen. 

Take the initiative and/or support possible project estimation. 

Establish project goals, policies, processes, and performance benchmarks while staying within the parameters of business policy and contract requirements. Discuss issues including work procedures, complaints, and construction issues with foremen and supervisors. 

Keep an eye on the project and exert administrative control over the on-site foremen to make sure it is finished on time and within budget.

Examine potentially dangerous situations and take appropriate action. 

Attend strategy meetings and represent the organization at project meetings. 

Work with the contract administrator to manage the financial aspects of contracts in order to defend the interests of the firm and preserve positive customer relations.

Find the necessary materials and supplies to finish the project. 

To administrative personnel, employees, and clients, interpret and clarify plans and contract provisions. 

Update JCP job reports with the latest information on costs, schedules, and work progress.

Assign workers to construction sites to complete specific projects in collaboration with field operations. 

Actively cultivate connections with the subcontractor sector. 


Requirements

10+ years of Construction experience with a GC or similar. (Specialty Contractors and self-owned businesses likely not a fit)
