CNC Field Service Engineer

ProSearch Recruiting Partners, an independent franchise of the MRINetwork that specializes in hiring for factory automation OEMs and integrators is hiring for a world leading OEM of CNC machinery, machining centers, and automation systems who is growing their field service team nationwide! The Field Service Engineer will be a key team member in servicing and integrating machinery to achieve company and customer goals with efficiency and great customer satisfaction. 


The CNC Field Service Engineer will be responsible for: 

  • Overseeing project workflow to ensure optimal operations 
  • Leading installation, testing, diagnosis, operations, programming, maintenance, and repair projects 
  • Performing in machine inspection to ensure conformance to design and function in customer plants 
  • Optimizing productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives in the field 
  • Training customers on machine tool products 
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with senior management on project statuses 


The CNC Field Service Engineer will have the following experience: 

  • Electrical certification or electronic technology degree highly preferred, or equivalent experience 
  • 4+ years of experience with CNC machining centers, CNC Routers, Edge banders, and Panel Saws, tools and manufacturing automation, instrumentation is required. (Metalworking opportunities also available ISO CNC machining centers, milling machines, lathes, turning centers, grinders, press brakes, shears, plasma cutters, laser cutters, waterjet systems, welding machines, roll formers, punch presses, saws, and fabrication lines.) 
  • Experience with PLCs (NUM, KAVARA, GOULD, BOSCH, MAGELIS, HYDRA, AB, TPA, SCHNIRAM, B&R) and PC’s (softlogic e.g. XILOG, ASPEN, PANELMAC, OTTIMO, G CODES, M CODES) 
  • Strong experience with electro-mechanical machinery commissioning and repair 
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software 
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, as well as measurement and testing equipment 
  • Proven ability to provide a positive customer experience 
  • Proficiency with Genesis, AutoCAD, AlphaCam 
  • Ability to travel heavily for extended periods of time, paid OT (80%)
