About the Role:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MCA Underwriter to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing merchant cash advance applications, financial statements, and risk factors to determine funding eligibility. You’ll work closely with sales, risk, and operations teams to ensure that all decisions are made in accordance with company policies and risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review merchant cash advance applications and supporting documents such as bank statements and credit reports.
• Perform basic financial analysis to determine eligibility and recommend approval amounts.
• Identify potential red flags or inconsistencies and escalate for further review when necessary.
• Communicate underwriting decisions to internal teams clearly and promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all decisions and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure smooth processing and timely funding.
• Learn and apply company policies, underwriting guidelines, and risk criteria.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in MCA or alternative lending.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to read and interpret bank statements and basic financial data.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn underwriting systems quickly.
