We are seeking a strategic, highly organized, and proactive Chief of Staff to support the CEO in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the bank and asset management business. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to work directly with the CEO to ensure the successful execution of critical initiatives across the organization.


The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing operational, strategic, and administrative support to drive organizational efficiency, improve decision-making processes, and execute key initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior leadership, the executive team, and various departments to coordinate activities, manage key projects, and represent the CEO in critical internal and external interactions. The role requires a high degree of discretion, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the financial services industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support to the CEO: Act as a key advisor to the CEO, providing strategic counsel, guidance, and recommendations on business matters, including operations, policy, and organizational priorities. Help the CEO prioritize their time and resources by managing key projects, initiatives, and decisions.
  • Project Management & Execution: Lead and coordinate the execution of high-priority projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Manage cross-functional teams to achieve results.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments, ensuring alignment with the CEO’s vision and strategic goals. Act as the liaison between the executive team and key stakeholders, driving organizational coordination and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Executive Team Support: Prepare materials, briefings, and reports for the CEO and executive team meetings. Assist in setting agendas, organizing key discussions, and ensuring follow-up on action items. Ensure clear and efficient communication between the CEO and senior management.
  • Decision-Making & Problem Solving: Support the CEO in making critical decisions by providing research, analysis, and insights on key issues affecting the bank and asset management business. Act as a sounding board for the CEO on complex challenges and opportunities.
  • External Representation: Represent the CEO in external engagements and meetings, when appropriate, with stakeholders such as regulators, investors, clients, and business partners. Serve as a point of contact for high-level inquiries and requests.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement processes that enhance productivity, effectiveness, and communication across the organization. Streamline workflows and ensure efficient operations within the CEO’s office.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance culture. Assist in developing and executing talent management and leadership development programs within the organization.
  • Crisis Management: In times of crisis or urgent business matters, step in to help manage and communicate internal and external responses, working closely with the CEO and the leadership team to navigate through challenges effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a strategic, leadership, or operations role in financial services, banking, or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of the banking and asset management industries, including market dynamics, regulatory environments, and investment strategies.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing complex cross-functional projects in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) and financial modeling is a plus.
