Accounting Manager / Controller

A growing private real estate investment and management firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / controller to join its team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across a multifamily real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements
• Reconcile accounts and ensure financial records align with bank activity
• Monitor property-level income, expenses, and operating performance
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Requirements:

• Strong accounting experience, preferably within real estate or property management
• Experience with multifamily real estate accounting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, and expense analysis
• Experience with Yardi is a plus, but not required
• Proficiency with accounting systems beyond QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
