Our Client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a proven track record in financial management, reporting, and process optimization within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and inventory costing.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee cost accounting, ensuring precise tracking of production costs, overhead, and variances.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to support operational needs.
- Implement and upgrade financial systems to enhance reporting and efficiency (e.g., ERP systems like QuickBooks, SAP, or Epicor).
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
- Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to align inventory management with demand forecasts.
- Lead a small accounting team, providing mentorship and ensuring accurate deliverables.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification and a degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Epicor, or SAGE) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
