Leasing Agent / Assistant Property Manager

$50,000 – $55,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Leasing Agent / Assistant Property Manager to join their team. This full-time, salaried position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the property management industry. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and proactive - ready to take on a role that blends leasing responsibilities with administrative and operational support.
Responsibilities:
- Market and show available units to prospective tenants
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Conduct tenant screenings and background checks
- Prepare lease agreements and coordinate move-ins/move-outs
- Maintain accurate records of occupancy and availability
- Assist the Property Manager in handling tenant requests, maintenance issues, and vendor coordination
- Conduct property inspections and ensure units are well-maintained
- Assist with rent collections and follow-up on delinquent accounts
- Help manage property records, leases, and compliance documents
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in leasing, real estate, or property management is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is helpful
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
