Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with Financial Controller capabilities to oversee and manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations and strategic financial planning.
You will be responsible for full-charge bookkeeping, managing monthly closes, generating financial statements, overseeing internal controls, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Handle sales tax filings and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead monthly close process and financial reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external accountants for year-end audits and tax filings.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms when necessary.
