P&C Insurance Assistant

Our client is seeking a P&C Insurance CSR with a year or two of Insurance experience. The Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their insurance needs, answering inquiries, and resolving issues related to their property and casualty insurance policies. The CSR plays a crucial role in maintaining client satisfaction and retention by delivering accurate and timely information and assistance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information about insurance policies, coverage options, and claims processes.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and cancellations, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and submitted.
  • Process new insurance applications and verify the accuracy of information provided by clients.
  • Handle billing and payment inquiries, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Educate clients about available insurance products and services, helping them to make informed decisions about their coverage.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, claims adjusters, and other departments to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the agency management system.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any additional needs or concerns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to provide knowledgeable support to clients.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance products and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and insurance software.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
