Our client is seeking an experienced, driven, and visionary Director of Fundraising to take an established fundraising operation to the next level. This individual will be responsible for expanding donor relationships, developing new fundraising opportunities, managing and growing a fundraising team, and helping shape the organization's long-term growth strategy.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor—someone who understands the big picture while remaining highly detail-oriented. They should possess strong business development skills, leadership experience, and the ability to build authentic relationships within the community.
A deep understanding of the Chassidishe and Orthodox Jewish community is essential, including the ability to connect naturally with donors, supporters, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand all fundraising initiatives and donor development efforts.
- Identify and cultivate new donor relationships and revenue opportunities.
- Strengthen and grow existing donor partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to increase organizational impact and revenue.
- Manage, mentor, and motivate fundraising staff and team members.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish fundraising goals and growth strategies.
- Track fundraising performance, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Represent the organization professionally within the community and at donor meetings and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, supporters, and key stakeholders.
- Create systems and processes that improve efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in fundraising, development, business development, sales, relationship management, or a similar leadership role.
- Previous experience as a Director of Fundraising preferred; however, strong fundraising professionals with management experience in related fields will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see both the details and the broader organizational vision.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and follow-through.
- Deep understanding of the Chassidishe/Orthodox Jewish community and its culture, values, and donor landscape.
