A reimbursement team member should meet their responsibilities in a timely and accurate fashion ensuring clients are getting paid from insurance carriers, handling partial and full denials, keeping a clean AR, and helping prevent potential issues.



Responsibility:


  • Post insurance companies’ payments and/or response into the various systems based on client, such as electronic, ERA, or paper explanation of benefits.
  • Daily checks on the pending amounts due from carriers and act accordingly.
  • Ensure appropriate log-ins are available.
  • Reviewing the recent codes of partial and full denials, utilizing carrier portals or calling for clarification as well as resubmission and reconsider given claims with appropriate reasons.
  • write up appeals
  • address denials as they come up
  • discuss with team leader how to eliminate those issues from recurring
  • Check with carriers on no response claims based on predefined dates.
  • summarize the amounts outstanding and key issues to be discussed with team leader
  • Follow up on appeals and claims sent for reconsiderations.

  • Excellent reading comprehension
  • Computer experience preferred
